I received a call from an American woman claiming to represent the Euro Lottery, insisting they were eager to send me a complimentary lottery ticket. I could hear a television blaring in the background. When she mentioned it, I promptly declined, saying I wasn't easily swayed and had no interest in being scammed. Her response was quite courteous, as she reiterated the offer, but I stood firm and declared that gambling wasn't my thing. The dialogue went in circles, with her repeating her pitch and me firmly saying no. Then she requested my email address to send the ticket electronically, but again, I reiterated that gambling was not on my agenda. At least she grasped my stance! However, what baffled me was how she knew my name-something I neither confirmed nor denied. Where on earth did she obtain that information?

Quite strange, if you ask me!

I had a rather peculiar phone call from a woman across the pond, claiming I had won a Euro Lottery ticket with a staggering prize of £2 million. I decided to cut the conversation short and just hang up.

I received a rather peculiar call from a chap who greeted me with, "Hello, Krissy? I'm delighted to inform you that you’ve bagged yourself a complimentary lottery ticket, and this particular draw is worth an eye-watering £50 million!" He went on about how I'd also be automatically entered into a group lottery for free. I politely declined, saying, “No, thank you.” To which he responded rather insistently, “I strongly recommend you seize this opportunity, madam, it’s a free ticket!” Once again, I reiterated my disinterest and promptly ended the call. His voice didn’t have the usual busy call centre sound to it; instead, it sounded quite hollow, as if he was in a large empty space. - Caller ID: 02035198779.
