Some bloke called himself Andrew and said he was ringing from LINCOLNSHIRE OPINION POLLS. He already knew my name, address and phone, but the number was missing the "0" at the start of the code. Sounded like an Indian accent and he mentioned that only positive answers would get a follow-up from them. I just hung up. This has gotta be the fifth time this number has buzzed me.

It calls me maybe once or twice every day and it's driving me crazy! We pretty much stay behind the voicemail now, just to avoid it. Honestly, why isn’t there a way to stop this nonsense?

I told the bloke I wasn’t interested at all, but he just wouldn’t quit with the chatter. So, I ended up having a laugh and offered to sell him a wheelbarrow that’s missing its wheel. That seemed to do the trick 'cause he hung up on me! Guess I’ll have to think of a new joke to tell when they call back tomorrow.

Just got a call at my dad’s place and the person on the line wanted to know if I was my mum. I told them no, she passed away back in 1996. Then I asked who they were and why they were ringing this number. Even though I asked twice, they just disconnected without any answer or letting me tell them to get lost and stop bothering us! My dad suffers badly with dementia and doesn’t need all this hassle. He’s on the TPS list but it seems to do sod all, we get these annoying calls loads every week.

Some bloke called asking if I was 'Mrs X'. I told him no, and that no Mrs X ever lived here. Also, as far as I was aware, Mr X had passed away ages ago and I’d actually purchased the house. But he just would not accept it and kept insisting I was Mrs X! In the end he accused me of making it up! I refused to give my name and ended the call by saying I wasn’t going to be spoken to like that before hanging up.
