I chose not to pick up but made sure to report the number using my phone’s built-in blocking feature (I have a Samsung). I also informed my network provider. If anyone else is getting annoying calls or texts, you can report them by texting 7726 with either “call” or “text”. Your provider will then reply asking you to send the number, which they’ll record. Just got a call from these lot about 5 minutes ago. I tried blocking the number, but I reckon they’ve got loads of different ones. The man said he was from Max Poll. When I told him I’m sick of their calls and wanted my details taken off their list, he just told me, “Well then stop f##king answering, you f##king b#tch.” How is this kind of behaviour even allowed?!

Blocking these dodgy calls really doesn’t help much in stopping them. It’s way better to report the number and details of the scam straight to the police database. Just search for ‘action fraud’ online, click the site ending in ‘police.uk’, hit the ‘reporting’ tab, then go to the phishing section and scroll down beyond the scam emails to begin your report. It’s quick, no need to sign up or anything. Be careful out there, everyone, and let’s put an end to this rubbish by reporting every attempt to scam us.

First call today no one spoke, on the second call they hesitated before answering which gave away it was a call centre. They got my title wrong as well, so when they asked if I was (my name) I said no. Then they asked if I was a family member. They had an Asian accent. Blocked the number.

Got a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent and loads of noise behind him, shouting my surname to get my attention. I didn’t reply right away, just asked who he was. Got a call earlier, the person asked for me by name but as I wasnt home my brother picked up. He said I wasnt there and the caller just threatened saying I’d be dead in an hour if he was being lied to.
