Received a recorded message from a lady's voice attempting to pester me about PPI reclaiming ("press 5 to check their database or 9 if you wish to have your number removed"). I chose to ignore their prompts entirely and instead took matters into my own hands by visiting the ICO website (ICOdotGOVdotUK) to report it as an unwelcome intrusion. Just a heads-up, you don’t need to find out the name of the company to file a complaint; the ICO claims they’ll act if they receive a sufficient number of reports.

I've been receiving persistent automated messages from a PPI claims firm on my answering machine for a few months now. To be honest, these calls are completely unwelcome and unjustified, as I've never been foolish enough to purchase PPI. Reading through the remarks on this site, it appears that these irritating calls have been plaguing many for quite a while. Is there really no way to put an end to this madness? I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service and have even flagged the calls to the Information Commissioner's Office. Yet, it feels like no action is being taken to resolve this issue.

They're stating that I'm on their records as someone who hasn't yet claimed compensation, which is absolute nonsense since I've never signed up for PPI in the first place-let's be honest, it was clearly dodgy from the get-go. I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, so they oughtn't to be contacting me at all; this is a breach of telecom regulations. I urge everyone to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)!

Today alone, I’ve had six annoying calls even though I’m ex-directory and registered with the TPS. Usually, I try to stay polite, but when a foreign-sounding chap called again - he said his name was "David" - I snapped and said, “Did I ask for this? No? Then please bugger off!” Honestly, what’s going on? I work from home as a writer and these constant disruptions have completely wrecked my focus. I’ve barely done a thing for my job today!
