Got a call from some government eco service, they said if I own my place, push 1, if not push 2. It's mad because no one apart from my family has this landline number. Feels like a scam to me!

Had a call the other day from an automated voice saying it was from the government about the eco scheme. It asked me to press 1 if I owned my house or press 2 if I didn’t. The weird thing is, no one but my family has my landline, so it’s gotta be some kind of scam. Proper dodgy!

I don’t get why I’m constantly bombarded with scam calls even though I’m ex-directory and on the TPS. Some dodgy bloke must be selling our numbers because nothing else makes sense. I’ve just put my phone on silent all the time to avoid the hassle now.

For the past couple of months, this number has been calling my landline, which isn’t listed anywhere. Each time I pick up my answerphone, it just cuts off. It’s been happening mostly in the early mornings and the calls keep coming randomly, with the same thing happening every time.

This number keeps ringing me and when I finally picked up, the message sounded like it was from some government agency asking if I own my home and to press 1. Tried to switch off my answerphone but couldn’t get it to stop recording. Really annoying!

I've had three calls now from supposedly the government's home energy department or whatever it’s called. Two came last week, and one showed up again today (Tuesday 13 July 2021), all coming from different numbers. Every time it’s the same automated message. I reckon this is a scam - pretty sure there's no such official department. Looks like they’re just trying to get personal info for dodgy reasons. Could be risky and might lead to identity theft, so watch out!
