They said they needed to talk to the account owner. I asked what account and who they were, and to show who they were. Then he just kept saying he wanted the account holder. I told him to get lost.

Got a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC warning me about fraud and saying I'd be hauled to court! Didn’t press 1 or anything, just hung up straight away.

I've grown rather weary of these pesky silent calls that keep coming from this number. I've had no choice but to block it using CallBlocker. Today I got a call from this number, at first it was a recorded message claiming they were investigating tax fraud with my name involved. When i picked up and told them my name, they just hung up on me.

Got an automated call supposedly from HMRC saying there’s tax fraud linked to me - ended the call right away and blocked the number! HMRC doesn’t get in touch like that, so watch out!

They already had my name, address and phone number. Told me I was owed about £2,500 from PPI or something, but I’d need to pay around £1,400 in fees before I could get the cheque. Asked if I wanted to carry on with it???

Got a call around 3.30pm from a London number. When I picked up and said "Hello," there was a pause then a deep female voice with an accent said "hello" back. I said "hello" again, and she asked for "Miss (my full name)." I replied with "Who’s this?" then they just hung up. Usually I ignore these calls, but lately I’ve been picking up just to mess with them a bit. Not this time though, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call about a PPI refund saying they’d post me a cheque. I asked if they had my address, and they said yes, so I told them to just send it. Then they asked me to confirm my details. Got a call from this number at 4.28pm on Thursday 28th June 2018. An Asian fella asked for me by my name, but I just hung up straight away, sussed it was one of those cold calls.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, said she was from something like Elegant Homes. She asked if I’d ever had a mortgage or any loans - I told her no. Then she brought up credit cards, but I said I wasn’t interested and that I’m on the TPS list. She claimed she was just trying to help and mentioned PPI. I told her I never had that either and reminded her about the TPS. She said she’d remove me from their database. I’ve blocked the number, but I reckon they’ll just call back from a different one.

This lady rang up asking for my husband, and when I said he wasn't home I wanted to know who she was. She just gave her name, so I asked again where she was calling from. She said she already told me her name, and when I pressed for her location she refused to say. So I just ended the call. I have had calls like this before.
