Lately Ive been bombarded with loads of calls from those call centres supposedly doing surveys, and some even say they're aiming to block nuisance calls. Turns out, theyre actually just gathering phone numbers to pass on to legit companies like banks or loan firms. The TPS scheme doesnt seem to do much, and once your number is out there, these calls just keep coming. I ended up buying one of those Nuisance Call Blocker phone setups from Amazon. Ive had it running for a few days and its really doing the trick! Totally recommend it to anyone fed up with these annoying calls.

I keep receiving calls from this number regarding hearing examinations, claims for accidents I’ve never been involved in, unsolicited sales pitches, PPI offers, and the like. I've signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, and thankfully, those calls seem to be dwindling. To be honest, I’ve stopped picking up any unfamiliar numbers altogether. Surely, they must realise that they’ll eventually stop if they keep getting no response, won't they?

I’ve just received yet another one of those bothersome calls from some so-called "national hearing clinic." They were claiming that due to my supposed exposure to a loud workplace, I should be eligible for a hearing test. When I clarified that I've never worked in such an environment, the chap on the line, with his northern drawl, accused me of being uncooperative. It’s rather infuriating dealing with these pushy sales types! Surely there must be a way to put an end to these intrusive calls?

I received a call from a rude individual who was looking for Mr or Mrs Ayling. Upon inquiring about the purpose of the call, I was met with a rather terse response claiming it was due to my supposed history in machinery. I was baffled, as I've never worked with such equipment. I expressed my annoyance at being troubled at my place of work and pointed out that her records were clearly outdated, considering my husband had passed away seven years ago! Rather than acknowledging my points, she insisted she had never sought Mr Ayling in the first place and continued to argue. I suggested she review the call recording before ending the conversation. I just received a call from this number claiming to be from the DWP. When I inquired about what DWP stood for, they surprisingly said it was the Directorate of Work Performance! They seemed rather flustered and hung up as soon as I began to probe further. Definitely sounded like a British accent. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

The bloke spoke with a strong Northern twang, which honestly made him seem a bit rough around the edges (and I say that as someone from up North myself). He used my name, said his was Tom, and mentioned something about owing me money if I’d been in the industry longer than 5 years. I just told him to stop wasting my time and ended the call.

Got a call earlier today about some supposed “industrial injury” I had. That was odd since I can’t think of any injury from my working days, and I’m retired now anyway. I'm continuously bombarded by calls from this number, and as soon as I pick up, they hang up. It makes me think it’s one of those dodgy schemes aiming to get you to return their call, probably racking up massive charges if you do, especially with them being overseas. I just received a call from this very number, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick it up since my phone was left at home. When I tried to call back, I encountered an issue and it directed me to ring 118 520, which apparently charges 2.40p per minute from a landline. Seems like nothing more than a dodgy scam! Today, I received a flurry of calls from this firm, starting at 13:10, then again at 13:13 and 13:26, only to have them ring me once more at 14:37. The day didn’t end there, as they also decided to call my landline around 19:50. I got two calls from this number today. The first time, they were searching for my husband, and when they rang back, it was the same story. When I mentioned he wasn’t about, they launched into some vague spiel about something ‘industrial’. Quite frankly, I couldn't decipher a word of it, so I decided to end the call. I had a rather peculiar phone call from this number today. The person claimed to be representing a nearby hearing clinic and said they were reaching out because I had supposedly worked in a factory many moons ago. When I pointed out that I have never set foot in a factory, the caller promptly ended the conversation. Quite unsavoury behaviour, if you ask me! - Caller: I didn’t catch their name (perhaps they could use a hearing aid, if you know what I mean!).

I've received relentless calls from them today, ringing me every few minutes only to hang up right away. It's clearly some sort of automated dialler, fishing for anyone who might be willing to lodge a claim. Honestly, they're like leeches, and I wish someone would put a stop to them. I kept receiving calls from this number, and, honestly, I'd never bothered to answer before because it was getting on my nerves. Eventually, I decided to pick up, only to find they were fishing for my personal information. When I questioned the woman on the line about whether she was being serious, she got a bit curt with me, which didn’t sit right. So, I hung up on her. Pretty much what everyone else has said here. The bloke on the phone, sounded like he was from up North, reckoned I worked in engineering according to their records (which is odd as I was in commercial air crew before retiring, so no clue where that came from). He said he had an appointment that might interest me. I told him straight up I wasn’t interested and asked nicely for him to remove my details from their system before I ended the call. Just a load of Merchant Bank types - honestly, I hope he comes across this and feels a bit embarrassed about it!

Just got a call from this number. Only picked up because I was waitin on a roofer to ring me back. The bloke said, "Good mornin, Mrs ___, You've worked in a factory at some point in your life." I told him I’d never been a factory worker, I’m a nurse. He kept going on like I’d definitely worked in a factory at some time. I told him he was talking rubbish and then he muttered something to someone else and hung up. Had a look back through my calls and noticed this number’s been ringin me off and on for weeks. I’ve blocked it now.

Received yet another silent call from this number today - and sadly, it's not a new occurrence. Previous attempts have echoed the same monotonous pitch that others have recounted. It’s coming through to a direct line at a bustling company exchange, particularly surprising since it's an accounting firm, where the biggest noise is typically the coffee machine gurgling away. Their choice of targets certainly raises eyebrows! A cheeky suggestion - try pretending you can't hear them. It really seems to irk them, and they’ll usually hang up in a huff!

They then had the audacity to suggest, based on their so-called records, that I was spinning a yarn and that I’d spent my days mucking about with cow dung! It's becoming exceedingly tedious, this relentless barrage of calls from these individuals. Despite my clear communication that I've never been employed in any industrial sector, they persist in contacting me. The ringing starts around 2 PM, with today’s most recent interruption at 4:28 PM. To say it's infuriating would be an understatement, especially since I’ve had to keep my phone on alert due to my husband’s recent heart attack; I find myself on edge, anxious to receive any news from him. I had to block another number recently for similar reasons, and it appears I’ll need to do the same with this one, as they completely disregard my explanations. The whole situation seems relentless, with persistent calls about PPI, solar panels, gas boilers, and switching energy suppliers-the list just goes on and on! The frequency of these interruptions increases daily. It’s baffling that no action is taken to shut down these parasitic companies that prey on the vulnerable, especially those who might be duped into thinking they’re entitled to something for nothing. Got a call on this number today. The person said I needed to go to some kind of advisory clinic in Portsmouth because I used to work in a factory. I found it funny and told them they had the wrong person. But the caller kept saying I was a factory worker, so I told them what I actually do for a living. Only then did it hit me I might’ve shared too much personal stuff. I’ve made a report with the police now.
