Surprisingly, the same caller rang again just five minutes later, this time asking for my husband. To my displeasure, a couple of hours later, a woman called inquiring about either myself or "mrs." Irritated by the repeated calls, I firmly requested that they remove our names from their list and refrain from calling us again. However, the nuisance didn't stop as I have now received two more calls on my mobile and another two on the landline this evening. I have managed to block them on my mobile device, but unfortunately, I am unable to do so on the landline. Is there any way to put an end to these bothersome calls?

Different modus operandi. Received a dubious call from the National Advice Centre regarding an alleged "industrial incident". This is now the second call I've received in the span of two days. I chose to disregard the invitation to engage in conversation. I have no intention of returning the call, particularly after discovering that it may be a scam involving premium-rate phone lines.

I got two phone calls this morning (3 Nov) on my landline. The first person who called asked for me and claimed to be from the National Advice Centre, although I have never heard of them before. He started asking about my experience in the construction industry, despite me telling him that I have never worked in that field. He then began discussing other industries, but I ended the conversation and hung up. Shortly after that call, a woman called and also asked for me. However, as soon as I confirmed it was me speaking, the line went silent. I used the 1471 service to check the number and decided to Google it, which led me to this website. After reading other comments, I believe that both calls were from the same number.
