They’ve rung me three times this morning about some industrial hearing damage thing. First time I just told them I wasn’t bothered, but they keep coming back. Today, at around 10:15am (30/10/14), my landline buzzed with a call from this number. A man got on asking for me but when I asked who he was, he just didn’t say. I have a fairly deep voice and he snapped, “Quit shouting, you muppet.” A few minutes earlier, the same number rang my mobile. A woman called Joanne said she was from “National Advice.” When I told her about the rude bloke who called me an idiot and asked to speak to a manager (also mentioned calls might be recorded), Joanne told me to hang on and started chatting with someone else nearby - I heard computers humming in the background and her making conversation. But before she could get back to me, she just hung up on me.

I’m the one who posted before about the bloke who called me an idiot on the phone. (30/10/14 @ 10:15am) I’ve read through all these responses and honestly can’t believe this company (NOT) keeps treating people so badly. They’re harassing folks, being rude, and causing real distress, yet no one seems to be doing anything about it! What about older people, those with learning difficulties, or anyone who struggles with English? Surely, the Ombudsman or some authority out there could step in to protect us from this nonsense. After reading the reviews here, it looks like just another annoying cold call. Got a call earlier from some guy who asked if I was employed at a factory, then wanted me to verify my address. Got called twice from the same number today. Looks like one of those autodial systems that pick up whoever answers first. The first time I picked up, the call dropped straight away. On the second ring, I answered and a bloke told me I’d been identified as working in a certain industry. Quite vague really. The woman on the line couldn’t even say my last name right, though somehow she already had both my name and address. She claimed they had a record of me because I used to work somewhere noisy. When I asked why the call was coming from a London number if they were local, she got a bit defensive, saying their main office was in London but she was definitely calling from their Dewsbury branch.
