Action Fraud UK has just flagged this number along with a few others I’ll mention as VERY RISKY!! You might get called by a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from various discounted TV providers (Sky, Virgin etc) offering loyalty deals or upgrades on equipment and packages. They try to get your bank details to adjust your subscription cost but then use them to make fake payments. They also ask for ID copies to "process" your account, which they misuse too. Please block these numbers if possible, or just don’t pick up if you can’t: 08447111444, 08001514141. Stay safe!

Got a call from a woman who said I owed a £203 refund from Sky. I’ve never even had Sky before, told her to put the money back where it came from. She just ended the call straight away.

Received yet another call today from a chap purporting to be associated with Sky, stating that I was owed a £202 refund. He had my address, but somehow didn’t know my name. When he requested my date of birth and credit card expiration date, I flatly declined and rather curtly told him to leave me be.

I received a phone call from a lady who claimed that I was entitled to a £250 refund from Sky. She kept mentioning my name and address, but she mistakenly said “Millstone” instead of “Milestone”. When I informed her that she had the wrong person and that we don’t even subscribe to Sky, she abruptly ended the call.

I received a call this morning from this number, and the woman, who had an Indian accent, asked for someone named Mrs. Ccccccccc. I informed her that such a person doesn’t reside here. She seemed somewhat surprised and then started to verify the postcode. I simply told her to remove my information from their records, and then she abruptly ended the call. Quite odd, really!

Called me twice this morning but didnt pick up when I answered. Pretty sure they just want me to call back on some expensive number. These annoying calls are the worst thing about having a landline. Honestly, providers should do something to stop them by banning these premium numbers. They already charge us plenty for using the service anyway.

Got a call from the same number yet again - third time this month. A woman claiming to be from Sky Refunds told me I was owed £202 and they just needed to confirm some details for security. I made up a dodgy birthday and she then read out my address (pulled from the directory) and said everything matched. Then she asked for the last 3 digits of my credit card to process the refund. When I said I’ve never had Sky - and would never let anything Murdoch-related near my home - she just hung up. Why do they always pick £202, I wonder?

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying I was owed a refund from SKY. She asked for my DOB and to verify my address, so I gave her rubbish details. She said I’d passed their security check. Then she wanted my bank card details, but I told her there’s no way, I don’t even have SKY and to buzz off and find a real job.

I recently received a phone call claiming to be from Sky’s refund department, attempting to offer me a £200 reimbursement. Received a call from a woman sporting a pronounced American accent, who claimed to be from Sky. She mentioned something about refunding me £202 because of an overcharge on my account. Strangely, she had my name and address to hand. When I requested her to speak more clearly and to slow down, as her words seemed all jumbled, she abruptly ended the call upon learning that I don’t have any contract with Sky. It’s blatantly a scam, if you ask me.

They keep ringing my mum, who's quite advanced in years. Thankfully, she’s sharp enough to spot the dodgy nature of the calls and hasn’t shared any of her details. It's unnerving, though, as they've clearly got a fair amount of her personal info at their disposal.

Received a rather odd phone call today from a chap claiming to be from Sky, saying I was due a refund of £202. Naturally, I inquired whether he required my bank details, to which he assured me he only needed some basic information. I pressed again about the bank details, and after three attempts to clarify, he finally admitted that I would have to provide my bank information. I firmly told him I would not share any personal details and suggested that if Sky genuinely owed me any money-something I highly doubted-they could simply send me a cheque. At that point, he abruptly hung up. I've since blocked the number.

I picked up the phone at my elderly mum's place earlier today, and to my surprise, a woman with a distinct foreign accent was on the line. She claimed she was representing the Sky Refunds Department. I genuinely can't stand scammers, no matter what sort. Just got a call where they were trying to trick me into giving away personal info to nick my identity. They said it was about a refund from SKY (which I’ve never been with, as I only have Freeview). It was obvious they were up to no good. They asked a few things I refused to answer, then I asked them to confirm my account details. Of course, they didn’t have a clue. When I picked up there was a strange delay. The guy was Indian and spoke super fast. He asked my husband for my DOB, saying I had some Sky credit. But since the account isn’t in my name, my husband told him that and then the call just got cut off! Kinda weird, plus I had a missed call on my mobile the day before, not sure if that was connected? I received a phone call from someone with an Indian accent, who claimed to represent Online Global Payments. They provided me with a fake email address that they said was mine and then asked for the name of my bank in order to 'update their UK records.' When I confronted them about the inappropriate nature of their call and their request for sensitive information, they absurdly denied asking for banking details at all. It's quite ridiculous, really. I just hope that vulnerable individuals don’t get taken in by this scam.

I received a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming that I was due a refund from Sky due to overbilling. I politely thanked him and swiftly hung up. It's quite alarming that these sorts of scammers can’t seem to be put to an end, isn't it?

I had a rather peculiar encounter with a chap named Sean Smith, who was calling from Online Global Payments. He had an unmistakable Indian accent and was quite insistent on obtaining the name of my bank. Strangely enough, he also had my postcode and name in front of him. I suspect this might be connected to a freelancing tutoring site I registered for just earlier today-Superprof, if I'm not mistaken. It’s clear that this has all the hallmarks of a scam. Just a heads up, everyone-stay vigilant!

I answered a call from someone with an Asian accent who claimed she was ringing to inform me that Sky owed me a refund. I mentioned that she'd dialled the wrong number and ended the conversation.

Just received a call from someone who mispronounced my surname. They then had the audacity to ask me to confirm the name of my bank for some supposed record update. I didn't buy it for a second and ended the call. Definitely a scam-this all happened a mere quarter of an hour ago!

I received a call from someone with a heavy foreign accent who kept probing about my bank details. I made it clear that I wanted my number removed from their list, but they simply wouldn't let it go. Despite my refusals, the caller persisted in asking about my bank name until I finally said 'no' one last time, at which point they hung up. Quite discourteous, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone with a strong accent, could barely understand a word she said. She was asking for my bank info. Like I’m gonna hand over my details to some random cold caller? No chance. Should I throw in my passwords as well, ha!
