Getting calls from a number I don’t recognise, feels like they’re annoying or bothering me.

Got a call on my landline from someone speaking with a really strong accent, saying they were from EE. It seemed very suspicious to me. I told them to take my number off their list and not to ring me again since I never agreed to be contacted. They tried to keep talking but I just ended the call. It was clearly a call centre trying to rope me in.
