02035146951 rang me sayin they were Amazon and that my Prime account needed renewing, told me to press 1 to give info - problem is, I aint got no Prime! Then about ten days later, 01644421653 phoned saying my account got hacked and £99.99 was taken for Prime, again told me to press 1 to talk to an expert. I don't have a Prime subscription, so I called Amazon myself and they said it's a scam - they never ring about subscriptions on the phone!!

Just like the previous instances, I received an automated call from a male voice claiming that my Amazon account was compromised. However, I promptly disconnected the call without allowing it to progress any further. It's highly plausible that these are the same scammers who used to call about computer viruses, hacked BT broadband, or fake arrest warrants from HMRC. I must commend their resourcefulness in perpetrating such scams and attempting to deceive individuals into parting with their hard-earned money. These fraudsters seem to have an endless reserve of tactics up their sleeves.

Got a call from this number at 8.59, with someone saying they were from Amazon Prime. This is the second time I've had a call like this, a lady with an American accent. This morning I got a call from 009781295790366 about my Amazon account and some internet security issue, but when I tried to look up the number, nothing showed up. Then, about half an hour later, the same kind of call came through from 0203514695. It sounded like an automated voice, a bloke with a pretty deep tone. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call saying my Amazon was hacked and someone grabbed £95. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone. I pressed and an accent woman answered, “How can I help?” I told her, “You called me, you daft lady.” Then she went on about my Amazon account being hacked. I told her I don’t even have an Amazon account and she suddenly just hung up on me. Weird call!

If you get an automated call, it's likely a scam, no matter what. These calls are just trying to trick you. I'd recommend checking out Jim Browning's stuff on YouTube - he exposes a lot about scammers and it's pretty eye-opening. Definitely a good idea to show these to older family members since they're often the ones being targeted. A lot of these scams seem to come from India, from what I've read.
