Got three calls in one day. Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he represented a service that blocks unwanted calls and kept asking for my info. He even knew my address! When I told him I was hanging up, he threatened to disconnect my phone, saying it was compulsory. Ridiculous!

Today, I got a call from some bloke claiming to be the head of the Telephone Preference Service. He said he could block all those annoying calls starting from tomorrow. Naturally, I asked him what the fee was. To my shock, he wanted £23 each month! I told him straight away he was a con artist since that service is meant to be free, called him a daft muppet, and quickly ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TPS, tryin to renew a contract that supposedly expired today. I told them straight up it was a nuisance and called them out for lying, then ended the call. About an hour later, the same number rang again but they just hung up as soon as I picked up. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Got two calls today from a man with an Indian accent claiming he was calling on behalf of Telephone Preference Management. He was really pushy, insisting they could stop all those annoying calls starting the next day. I told him I’m already signed up with the TPS and said his call was exactly the kind I want to avoid. He kept saying the TPS office was in west London, which is true for the UK one, but something felt off. When he wouldn’t back down, I ended the call, blocked the number, and reported it to the real TPS.

My mum, who’s getting on a bit, went through exactly the same terrible experience lots of others have mentioned here. The caller was so nasty, pushy and downright horrible, like a total bully. We’re definitely making a report to the police about this!!!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with TPS, asked me to verify my address and other info. I decided to humour her for a bit, but then she went on asking for my card expiry date. I told her off pretty sharpish, but she just kept going! It’s really worrying. When will BT sort out this number cloning problem? Also, how on earth did she get hold of my details in the first place?

I've had this one caller keep ringing me, trying to get my bank details off me, supposedly to sign me up for some kinda telephone preference service for life! Proper annoying and dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from some guy claiming to be with BT, saying he was there to help block spam calls. He even had my address and postcode right, which seemed odd. Then he started asking stuff about my bank card, and that’s when I knew it was fishy. He wanted me to read out the expiry date, but I just cut him off and ended the call. Definitely dodgy!
