They claimed a solicitor had sorted out a PPI credit card claim for me and that there was £3,000 waiting to be paid out. They wanted me to pay a 20% solicitor fee upfront before releasing any cash. But I never asked Equity in Finance for anything, never hired a solicitor, and never even owned the credit card they mentioned. I told them to just deduct the fee from the payout and send me the rest via cheque. They’re pretending to be a legit firm that’s supposedly been around since 2006, using their company name, number, and VAT details, so they show up on official sites like Companies House. But if you check the email they send you, it’s from yanex.com, a Russian domain. Do NOT hand over any money to these scammers - it’s pure fraud!EquityCompanies House8 yearsBEWARE!!
