Got a call from someone claiming to be from Domestic and General about washing machine insurance. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Somebody rang me, said they were selling washing machine covers. They kept using lots of different 0203 numbers and asked straight away for me by name. Definitely felt dodgy, must be a scam.

Some bloke named Albert Jones rang me up, trying real hard to sell insurance for my washing machine. Kept pestering me for my bank info to set up a direct debit or something. I told him straight up I don’t hand over bank details on calls, then just ended the call. Watch out! He’ll likely call back and try to sound legit, but don’t fall for it. NEVER share your details with him! 100% A SCAM.

He actually said my name when he called, but I just ended the call straight away.

It’s pretty clear this is a scam, they seem to have access to quite a bit of personal info about people.

Got a call from another number but it was the same spiel. The bloke asked if I was my mum by name, I told him no. Then he went on about some insurance for the washing machine. I told him we just bought a new one and asked if they could stop calling. He just said goodbye and hung up.
