Got a call out of the blue today about my washing machine warranty being up. When I asked them which brand they thought I had, they said it was an Indesit, but I've never even had one! The person on the phone just hung up after that.

So, I got a call from this firm offering some kind of warranty insurance. They assured me I’d get the documents in the post within a week or so. Then out of the blue, they said I had to pay right then and there over the phone using a debit or credit card. I told them I wanted to see the paperwork first and would call back to sort the payment. Next thing I know, the bloke on the phone just cuts me off saying he’s ending the call. Feels dodgy as heck to me. Watch out, this smells like a scam. I’m definitely reporting them to Trading Standards and all that lot.

I got a call from a number I didn’t know, so I just let it ring out and go to voicemail. They didn’t leave any message, so I’m not planning on calling back. Honestly, unless they tell me who they are and why they’re calling, I’m probably just ignoring it completely!
