He had my name and address but messed up the model. It seemed like a honest mistake, but I was still a bit wary. He claimed he was calling from some repair company in Brighton, though I can’t recall the exact name. Then he just said sorry and hung up. It was from some company with a cat in the name or something. Anyway, the repair guy was due to come tomorrow around 2.45pm to have a look. Today, I get a call from this number and the bloke actually called me by my last name! He gave his name but I can’t remember it now. When I asked what he wanted, he said my warranty had expired on the machine and somehow even knew my address. I figured it was about the faulty machine sent to my daughter-in-law’s place. Then I asked again who he was and what he wanted - that’s when he just said ‘never mind’ and hung up. Seriously, how on earth does this guy have my address, surname and phone number?
