i got a call supposedly about a life insurance review that i had requested through my insurer. when i tried to get them to tell me which company they were from, the person claimed he wasn’t sure. as the conversation carried on, i kept denying that i’d actually asked for any review. the guy on the line gradually got more annoyed with me not sharing details. through the whole call, they wouldn’t really explain why they’d phoned me in the first place.

Got a call from some finance place trying to push life insurance on me. Told the guy I already had it sorted and was fine with it, and he goes, "So you’re okay with getting ripped off then?" Bit cheeky if you ask me.

They called me a bunch of times and I ignored it at first, then tried ringing back. The first time I called, no one picked up and it went straight to some anonymous voicemail. The next time, a woman answered and when I asked why I'd been getting loads of calls, she told me it was about a life insurance policy I apparently had. I told her I didn’t. She just said "oh, sorry, must be a mix up" but didn’t bother asking who I was or my number to take me off their list. I didn’t share my number either. She was polite enough but yeah, I blocked the number after that.
