I had a ring from this number earlier today (28th January 2016) around 2:08 PM. I didn’t pick up but found out the number by calling 1471. If this is some sort of fundraising effort, I must say, it’s rather put me off contributing anything. The whole experience is rather bothersome, to be honest, and since it was an unsolicited call, my feelings towards the organisation are less than favourable.

In the past three days, we’ve received calls from this number on three separate occasions. Initially, they didn’t leave any voicemail, so I rang back, and an automated message informed me it was the Royal British Legion. Then, just yesterday, my husband picked up, and the caller identified themselves as being from the RBL. We have contributed to their cause in the past, though not in the last couple of years, barring our usual poppy purchase. The caller expressed gratitude for our previous support and inquired if we’d be willing to continue our donations. My husband politely declined. We’ve just gotten another call from them, and I firmly told the woman on the line, who claimed to represent the RBL, to refrain from calling us again. As pensioners in less-than-stellar health, it's frustrating, especially since our number is on the registry to block unsolicited calls.

I've had two calls from this number today (23rd January 2016), and they didn’t bother to leave a message. I’m rather relieved I missed the call. I discovered the number through 1471. Clearly, it's one of those dodgy scam calls.
