Had a call earlier today from someone saying they were with EDF asking about my contract because of price hikes. I said I was tied up and ended the call pretty quick.

got a call about my edf contract saying its tariff review was coming up. they asked for an e-mail to send some papers to sign. when i asked them for my edf account number, they couldn’t provide it. seemed like a definite scam to me.

I couldn't come across any reviews or feedback about this number anywhere online, so maybe that's a positive thing. Has anyone else had any dealings with it? I’ve tried searching with various number formats but still got nothing.

He asked me to dial 191, which is Vodafone’s number, to verify his phone number but it’s impossible to actually talk to anyone there. The number he gave was a landline, not a shop line or anything. He wanted my bank info to arrange a monthly direct debit, but I told him I’d double-check with Vodafone first. He said he’d call me back around 1pm, but since I couldn’t confirm anything, I’m pretty sure it was a scam.
