I thought it was a scam at first, but turns out it’s actually legit. Just make sure if someone rings claiming to be from PayPal, get them to send a text to prove it’s really them. If you don’t have Pay in 3 or any credit with them, be careful. I’d missed a payment and that’s when they contacted me.

This is legit and secure, it's a PAYPAL phone number connected to Pay In 3 plans. I didn’t pick up when they rang, but they left a voicemail asking me to ring back on 02079493186. Turns out I had missed one of my PayPal Pay In 3 instalments. The call was just to inform me and offer help sorting out the payment or provide financial assistance. They keep phoning daily until you respond or sort out the account. Even if you block the number, they can still leave voicemails.

I just got a rather suspicious email expressing gratitude for an order I certainly didn’t make. It came with PDFs flaunting the logos of PayPal and eBay and instructed me to ring 02071934466 if I hadn’t actually put in the order. Naturally, I took a gander at both my eBay and PayPal accounts to find no trace of any transactions. Upon a quick search for that number, it became apparent it’s a PayPal scam - what a nuisance! I've decided to disregard the email entirely and won’t be giving them a call.

Every scam call or message should be reported straight to the cyber crime unit designed for the public to easily flag phone calls, texts, emails and other fraud attempts. When I raised the issue to my MP about how many scam calls I receive, they told me to always do this. You can find info on how to report right here on this page just below. Scammers definitely don't want people knowing this. If you keep ignoring it and not reporting, don’t be surprised when nothing changes to stop them.
