10 yearsI got a call at 07:52 on 27th January 2017. There was a woman on the line, and her accent seemed American, as she addressed me as 'Ma'am'. She claimed it was urgent because someone was supposedly trying to get into my computer. I hung up, but was rather astonished to see that a number had shown up on my phone. Since the 1st of February, I've been inundated with over 30 emails soliciting work-from-home opportunities, all promising payment in US dollars. The content is alarmingly similar across the board, yet they all come from different email addresses. I really wish I had a clue on how to put an end to this nuisance!10 yearsWe've been seeing this number pop up a lot on our phone, but thanks to BT blocker, the calls never get through. Tried calling it back but no one picked up!BT10 yearsGot a call from a bloke with a really English-sounding name but a foreign accent, claiming there was an issue with my computer. I just told him "Nah, I don't even own a computer!" then ended the call.10 yearsI got a phone call from 02034671759, and the person kept asking me if I own a computer. I asked who they were three different times, but they just repeated the question about the computer. In the end, I just ended the call.10 yearsSomeone rang claiming to be from computer security, saying there was an issue with my computer. I tried to find out where exactly they were calling from, and they mentioned something about the technology park. When I pressed them again for more details, they just ended the call.10 yearsThis guy called me up saying there was an issue with my computer and I needed to check it out. When I questioned him, he threatened to block my computer or something daft like that. I told him he was just a scammer and he replied with some really rude language, swearing at me. I just said cheers and ended the call.10 yearsGot a call from some Indian bloke tryin to scam me, was proper rude too. Best steer clear of them.10 yearsSome woman with a funny accent called saying something about my home computer needing attention. I just ended the call straight away.10 yearsThis number called me three times this morning, about an hour between each call. Every time I answered, there was silence and then it just disconnected. Didn’t hear any fax sounds or automated messages, so maybe it’s a call centre or something. Tried calling back but no luck. Feels fishy, especially since I’ve been getting a bunch of calls from “Microsoft Windows team” folks lately. Could be a scam.Submit Your Own Report (020 3467 1759)
