I was at school when a number kept ringing me, first I thought it was one of those scam calls about some accident claim but then it called again so I picked up. Turns out it was HMRE or something like that. Now I’m pretty sure it’s a scam and they can even track you by your phone number. Best not to answer if they ring you.

Got a robo call pretending to be HMRC, saying there’s some urgent and serious problem that needs me to ring them straight away. Totally looks like a phishing attempt.

so some lady called me saying if I didn’t cough up money, they’d lock my bank account and drag me to court. she gave me a badge number, case number and some w number, said her name was naomi edwards. this sounds dodgy as hell, especially from hmre, they don’t operate like that. better not send them any cash!

So, I got this weird message from a woman’s robot voice saying HMRC needs me or my lawyer to ring them back or there'll be trouble. Honestly, just ignore it and don’t bother returning the call!
