Got a call from this No that left a message on my answerphone sayin something like £105 had been withdrawn from my Amazon account and also a £3000 international transfer made. They said if it wasnt me to press 1 and they’d sort it out, but then just cut off. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Today it was some folks from Eastern Europe on the line, which is a bit different since usually it’s Indians or Brits calling me. They wanted to speak to a Mr Richard Baily about an appliances warranty. I couldn’t resist telling them Richard Baily was out having a hot date with his mum! :)

The individual on the line had an Eastern European accent and was inquiring about a chap named Richard Baily, insisting he was reaching out regarding some sort of appliance warranty. I couldn’t resist telling him that Richard was currently preoccupied on a rather steamy outing with his mum, so alas, he wouldn’t be available to chat at this moment.

Someone rang asking for Mrs ****, I said it was me, then the person started going on about some kind of home appliance insurance and said they'd send paperwork to my address (which they already had). I told them I wasn’t interested and asked to be removed from their list, but they kept pressing, wanting to know why. I explained it was a cold call and I never discuss financial stuff with random callers. They insisted it wasn’t a cold call, but I told them I never asked for the call so it obviously was. Then, out of nowhere, they called me rude and just hung up! Me rude? Absolutely daft.

They've begun ringing me again about extending my home appliance insurance, which I’ve never even signed up for. Didn’t get this dodgy call for a good while, but now it’s back. I’ve told them I’m receiving end-of-life care and have blocked the number, yet they just keep calling. It’s really frustrating.

I got a call about renewing my policy, saying I’d get 30% off for being a loyal customer. Thing is, I’ve never had anything to do with Domestic Appliances insurance. I checked my cash book and told the woman on the phone I needed to know how much I was supposed to be paying every month… She couldn’t give me any info. After a bit of back and forth, I managed to get her to see that I’m not actually a customer. In the end, she said she’d update their records to fix the mistake.

Looks like a classic scam to me. They pretend to be from the company that already covers your home appliances and then try to push you into buying extra insurance you really don’t need. Best thing to do is block their number, report them to the ICO, and if you haven’t signed up yet, put your phone on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). If we all do this, hopefully these annoying cold callers and fraudsters will get sorted out.

When I answered the call, it felt like they were really slow to respond, like they weren’t paying attention. Then they started talking about renewing my booker cover at a lower cost. But of course, they wanted all my info again to set up some new contract. Total SCAM warning here ‼️ I even asked them to tell me my contract number first... and then they just hung up on me.

Totally a scam! I knew right away when they said they needed to connect me to a manager to check my payment info. These folks are sketchy as hell. I don’t get how they’re still allowed to mess around with our phone networks. The government really isn’t doing enough to stop this rubbish. It’s ridiculously simple for them to keep ripping people off, which honestly makes me worry about how little is being done about it.
