I've had this number ring me a bunch of times over the last few weeks. Every time, my Truecall blocker picked up on it and cut the call off after just about 6 seconds, which is what usually happens with those auto-dialler spam calls. When a number keeps calling like that, it's usually a scam or some dodgy sales pitch. Lucky I never picked up on any of them!

Got a call from someone saying they were from a call blocking company, asking for £110 for their service!! I told them I knew it was a con and just hung up. They rang back almost immediately after! When I asked where they were based, they said Suffolk and claimed they worked for BT, Virgin, Sky and the like. The caller had a South Asian accent. It sounded like they were targeting elderly folks (which thankfully we aren't) - really nasty to try and trick vulnerable people like that. Proper dodgy business.

Some bloke rang up saying he was from the telephone preference service and asked if we pay our bills through direct debit. When I told him we don't, he started quizzing me about one of our cards supposedly expiring in 2021. I told him I wasn't going to share any personal details, and he got pretty narked and just ended the call.

i got a call where the voice had a strange echo and the accent sounded like it came from somewhere like india or pakistan. the person said my old sign-up to stop spam calls had to be updated because it only blocked local ones, not international. they also asked if my phone bills were paid by direct debit. when i asked where they were calling from, they said ipswich, but i wasn’t convinced and just ended the call.
