Beware of these travel centre con artists! They've been advertising bargain flights on Facebook, and I received a call from them touting a supposed ticket from Ghana to Birmingham. They asked for a staggering £570 upfront, but I was given the option to secure it with a £100 deposit. I thought it was reasonable, so I shared my card details. They kept insisting that it wasn't working, and then sent me a code to provide them. Thankfully, my bank warned me against giving anyone any codes or details, as they were clearly after that £100 by linking it to a mobile account. I promptly hung up, but since I had shared my card info, I had to cancel my Visa and request a new one. This is definitely a scam, so do yourself a favour and don't engage with these crooks-just hang up the phone!

I've received calls from this number for quite a while now. I finally picked up today, and it turns out it's a loan company claiming I've been approved for a £7500 loan, which I would repay £9000 over five years. Sounds fantastic, right? But then they hit me with a demand for £150 upfront. Definitely smells like a scam to me!
