A few days after, the same lot rang again, this time pretending to be from my gas company, offering a “better deal.” It sounded so legit, since they already knew loads about me. I was nearly about to pay over the phone when I suddenly remembered the first call and said hold on a sec! Then the guy, who had an Indian accent, got really angry.
