Some bloke with a South African accent rang me up saying my bills were higher now and offered to switch me to some ultra quick broadband. I told him my bills were fine and that I already had fast internet, then he just hung up. Dunno where they got my number from but it felt dodgy so I didn’t give out any info. They even messed up my pronouns, so definitely best to steer clear of these calls.

Got a call for someone called Velma, but I stayed quiet. Then the caller started talking, saying Velma was calling about my EE broadband. Since I didn’t say anything, they just ended the call. My name’s not Velma and I’m not with EE broadband, so this smells like a scam to me!
