I received a call claiming to be from British Household Studies, albeit mispronouncing my name. Out of sheer boredom-waiting for my boyfriend to emerge from the loo-I decided to entertain the idea of answering a few questions. When the caller stated, "Your postcode is XXX," I quickly corrected her, stating that was not accurate. She then inquired what my actual postcode was, to which I cheekily replied, "I don't reside in the UK." At that point, she promptly ended the call. Honestly, I recommend that more folks engage with these callers for a laugh. Much like James Veitch playfully interacts with spammers to keep them on the line, we could all do a bit of public service by conversing with these surveyors for a few minutes, thereby preventing them from pestering others.
