Somebody said they were from O2, but they just wanted me to repeat certain phrases for some phone banking thing. It ended up feeling more like harassment than a proper call.

My mobile has a nifty feature that won't let unknown numbers through. Would you believe this is the third time today I’ve had a go at dodging those pesky calls? In just the last five weeks, it’s happened thirty-eight times!

I received yet another call from an unknown number, and it was a woman with an Asian accent inquiring about some sort of electrical matter. Given that this was the third time a mystery caller had attempted to reach me within the span of two hours, I decided it was best to simply disconnect the line.

I received a message that purported to be from O2, claiming they could offer me a discount on my mobile bill. They sent me a couple of texts, as you might expect if you were directly in a shop alongside a sales representative. It struck me as a rather obvious and feeble scam attempt, especially since one of the texts warned, ‘If you receive a call asking for a code, please hang up as they are NOT part of O2.’ The other message was equally alarming, advising to ‘NEVER disclose this code, not even to O2 personnel.’ Regrettably, I found myself at a loss for words when they incessantly demanded the code... rather peculiar, don’t you think? Please, be cautious and don’t fall for this ruse!

Take care not to disclose any codes or personal details to these callers. They’re likely just scammers posing as representatives from O2 or other companies. It’s quite obviously a fraudulent scheme. Make sure you don’t reveal any sort of codes or one-time passwords to them. Cheers!
