I experienced a similar situation myself. I reached out to T-mobile, and they informed me that a third-party fee was linked to Impulsepay.com (Tel: 0203 542 2815, Email: [email protected]). However, they denied any responsibility and redirected me to a company named Switchfire (Email: [email protected], Tel: 08455442623). In my opinion, the best course of action to resolve this issue is to file a complaint at this link: http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/For-the-Public/Make-a-complaint/Complaint-Form.aspx. On a positive note, T-mobile has now prohibited all third-party charges on my account, which is quite reassuring!

About 15 minutes ago I got a call where the person was speaking an Indian language I couldn’t make out. I ended the call right away. Then, within half a minute, they called me twice more but I just let them ring out both times.

I got billed £30 for something I neither asked for nor was aware of. Tried to sort it with Three, but they just didn't care at all.

Got a text saying I owed £30, but I hadn’t bought anything so I just deleted it. Then when my next phone bill came, there was suddenly a £30 fee added on. I rang my mobile company Three, but they wouldn’t really help or look into it. They charged me this amount without asking for any confirmation or password, which feels totally unfair.

So I got shifted to another site from the one I was browsing and shortly after, I got a message saying I’d joined some quiz and got slapped with a £30 fine! That’s quite a bit for me, and the weird thing is, I’m not even sure I signed up for any quiz to begin with, if it even existed!

Mobijizz is honestly the worst scam out there. They couldn’t care less about customers and their support team is just awful. Instead of actually helping, they keep asking for your home address, phone bill, social security number and even your postcode. Seriously, BEWARE of these guys!! They’re nothing but con artists trying to steal your money. Make sure to report them to the proper authorities so they can shut this company down quickly.

Got a message saying I'd been charged £6 for a vid from MobileMagic (apparently checked it at 5.34pm). Anyone else got this? The number they gave was 02035405930 and the email was [email protected]. They also linked http://ip-7.com/bdxyk to look it up again. Bit worried if this is a scam or legit!

I somehow tapped a link by mistake and ended up with a £5 charge on my phone bill, even though I never gave permission for it. Ever since, I've been bombarded with really rude texts. I just don’t get how these companies are allowed to tack on charges like this. Shouldn't it be illegal? It feels like plain theft to me! I'm seriously thinking about taking this up with the ombudsman - someone needs to step in. It’s not right that they can blag money like this. I’m sure loads of people have had the same thing happen but are too shy or embarrassed to complain. We're definitely just seeing the tip of the iceberg here!

Got a strange text with a video link, clicked it by mistake and it turned out to be some kind of porn clip. I quickly deleted it. Later on, I got another message saying MY phone bill would need to be charged £5.00. I never agreed to any of this. Proper scam if you ask me.

So I got this text saying I’d supposedly been charged £5, with a link and a phone number to call. I didn’t click on the link or reply, and obviously never called the number. Seems daft to have to text STOP when I never started anything. I rang Vodafone afterwards just to be sure and they confirmed I haven’t been charged a penny. I’ve blocked the number now. So basically, just ignore it and double check with your provider if you’re worried. Hope this saves someone a bit of stress!

Got two texts from this number saying I’ll be charged £5 per video, which I never agreed to. I haven’t called the helpline since I figured that’s probably how the scam traps you (premium rate stuff). Now I’m worried if they’ll still bill me for something I never signed up for. Also, does T-Mobile even know about this scam number? This happened to me too. They billed me for a video I didn’t even see. I rang T-Mobile and they said maybe I clicked a link by mistake. Since when does just clicking a link mean you’ve agreed to pay? In any other business, this would be seen as fraud or theft. I don’t get how my phone provider allows this. Feels like they’re making a cut from it or something.

Does anyone know if this will actually take money from my account? Feels a bit dodgy to me, like spam. Thinking about wiping my phone clean just in case they’ve managed to sneak a virus or tracking cookies in to steal passwords or private info!

Got a message from this number too, just like a couple of others mentioned here. It said I’d apparently watched some movie, then a guy named James sent a text with a dodgy link to a film about a naked mum. It’s obviously some sort of scam and honestly, Virgin Mobile have been no help at all in stopping these calls. Total waste of time!

I believe I got it to quit now. I messaged STOP to 83338 and shortly after got a reply saying, "Thank you. Your stop request to 83338 has been successfully processed. You will no longer receive messages." So fingers crossed that’s the last of them!

Happened to me too. I received a message saying: "You've been charged £5.00 for 1 Vid from FunPass. Need help? 02033977637 or http://ip-7.com/281l0. This charge isn't a subscription and will show as Payforit on your bill." The £5 has been added to my Virgin Mobile account and is waiting to be paid. Virgin said there's nothing they can do about it.
