02033977636 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02033977636 👆 is reported as a fraudulent operation linked to unsolicited adult video charges appearing unexpectedly on UK mobile phone bills. Victims frequently report being billed for videos they never requested or watched, often triggered by misleading pop-ups or accidental clicks. Attempts to stop the messages via standard methods like replying STOP typically fail, and customer service numbers often lead to automated or unresponsive lines. Many complain that their network providers offer limited assistance, though some have successfully applied third-party billing blocks or received refunds after persistence. The scam appears to exploit mobile payment systems, causing distress especially when minors are inadvertently targeted. Users are advised to register with official blocking services, report incidents to regulators, and consider changing providers if unresolved. Vigilance and prompt action are essential.

Blimey, this is mad! My lad was just messing about with Four Pics on my phone when suddenly three boxes popped up asking him to choose one. Of course, he picked, and after a bunch of questions, a text popped up with a £30 receipt! I called the number from the message and what do I get? An answering machine telling me to leave my number and they'll call back. EE's closed now too, so I'll have to ring them first thing. I’m not coughing up for something that’s totally misleading. If they don’t sort it out, I’m off before the bill’s due. This is absolutely bonkers!

These idiots keep sending me links to dodgy adult websites every couple of weeks, and it’s driving me mad! Luckily, they’re not charging me anything. I have T-mobile and have tried to stop these scammers, but no luck so far. If anyone manages to track them down, I’d be really thankful! Honestly, I’d love to teach them a lesson (though I can’t say what here). Just so you know, I’m only 14 and these messages seriously freak me out. It’s always a different sender with each message; some use real names like Sam, others fake ones like WOW. When I check the sender info, sometimes the number itself is listed as the name - weird, right? Here are a few numbers that have sent me texts, with spaces as I saw them:

Hopefully sharing these helps get closer to catching these creeps!

Absolute con artists. How come the phone companies don’t do anything to stop this rubbish? Got hit with a £5 charge for a video I never even saw. I'd have thought they needed your permission or a proper sign-up before knocking money off your bill like that. Fingers crossed the law gets tough on these scammers quick! They’re just out to rip people off!

James and Abigail Fryer own Mad4Mobile, which is registered at 132-134 Great Ancoats Street, Manchester, M4 6DE. This address seems to just be a mail forwarding spot since loads of companies are registered there. Abigail Fryer used to partly own SECRETS NAIL & BEAUTY LTD at 20 Market Street, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5DP. It might be worth sending them complaints directly because I guess all their post goes through that Manchester address. Plus, it’s a good way to warn any of her other business ventures about the dodgy stuff they’re up to now. They’re basically scammers. What they do is set up scripts or pop ups that activate a link to their site without you even realising, then their system tricks your phone into thinking it’s on a contract network and bills you five quid for a video you’ve never even watched. My parents taught me stealing was wrong, but clearly these two never got that lesson.

Got a call last night at around 8:17 from someone named Baharrah or similar. She told me I couldn’t get a refund because the link had apparently been used, which sounds dodgy to me. About two weeks back on a Saturday, I got a message saying I was charged £5 for some video I never downloaded. I checked my phone and couldn’t find anything unusual or any video at all. The text said something like, ‘You paid £5 from comob for a vid, this isn’t a subscription and will show on your bill.’ Then, a week later on a Sunday, I started getting loads of annoying texts with links to porn sites and a number (02033977636). The messages mentioned celeb stuff like Big Fat Gypsy sex tape and Celebrity Big Brother, plus some ‘Never Seen British Filth’ nonsense. I tried replying with STOP but the messages wouldn’t go through, so I sent one of the texts to O2 and they’re checking it out. Really hope this is the end of it, but I’m thinking of changing my number because these pests won’t quit. Proper nuisances.

I've been getting the same issue too. The caller ID shows Craig (and I actually have a Craig saved in my contacts), so I assumed it was him. But when I checked my messages, it said I'd been charged £5 for some adult content. I called O2 but they couldn't block the number. They told me to sign up for a free service at tpsonline.org.uk for my mobile number. It might not stop the calls completely, but it does block unwanted premium rate stuff. Also, there's a fraud hotline you can ring: 0300 123 2040. The more people who report it, the better chance they have of shutting it down. Just thought I'd share this with anyone else dealing with these dodgy calls. Hopefully it helps. Good luck!

So, I was just scrolling through my phone when I got a dodgy text saying I’d been charged £5 for some video I supposedly watched. What the hell? I rang up Virgin, who sort out my phone, and they sorted the whole thing quickly - proper helpful, cheers Virgin! They even called the 08706093042 number linked to the message, but it just redirected to a landline (02033977636). Virgin left a message there asking to cancel the charge. Turns out the text is connected to some firm called Switchfire - Virgin gave me their email [email protected] so I could ask to unsubscribe. Hopefully this saves anyone else from these conniving bastards.

Got a text from this number saying I’d been charged £5 for watching some video. When I rang back, they claimed I’d viewed some adult video called “Glamour Models” - bit funny considering I’m a 50-year-old gay bloke! Anyway, I asked for a refund, but they said nope, not this time. I pressed them, asked when refunds would happen then, and eventually they gave up and sent the money back through the Post Office MCOM payout system. They’re a bit daft, but if you ring and stick to your guns you might get somewhere. FYI, looks like this outfit is linked to Safari Mobile (UK) Ltd (www.safarimobile.com), based at 591 London Road, SM3 9AG. One of their directors is an Eric John Feltin.

I've had my share of dodgy calls from companies pulling scams like this. What worked for me was reporting it to the official authority, like gov.uk. Another handy tip is to ring up your mobile network and ask them to stop any third party billing - it really helped me out. I got caught up in this mess once, but after blocking third party charges, the problem just disappeared. Hope this helps someone else too!

While we're visiting London, my husband’s phone seems to have been compromised because we keep receiving texts telling us we've paid for videos, which we’ve never downloaded or seen on the phone. We've been bombarded with these messages nonstop. We reached out to Vodafone, our provider, and they are currently investigating the issue since our bill has suddenly ballooned to £35. From what we've found online, this looks like a classic scam and really should be dealt with urgently. From two worried pensioners.

After a few minutes, I popped the battery back in and powered the phone on, only to get a notification saying I’d been charged £5 via payforit for a download I never actually got. My provider is 3. Honestly, I reckon all the networks should block this kind of thing because it’s unfair we have to pay for these sneaky charges.

So I looked up payfoit online and found out that loads of network companies are in on it together, like some kind of group, and they actually get paid each time it's used. Im thinking I’ll contact them tomorrow to cancel my contract and switch to giffgaff since they aren’t involved in this scheme.

I’ve gone ahead and filed a complaint at www.ico.gov.uk. Hopefully this puts an end to it.

I keep getting strange messages asking me to click on links. Really not pleased about it.

I got a text from someone called Lucy telling me to 'watch now' so I clicked on it. Next thing I know, there's a message saying I've been billed £10 by Mad4Mobile Payforit. I rang the number they gave but just got an answerphone saying they'd get back to me within a day. I’m pretty sure they won’t bother. Total rip-off!

I got in touch with my phone company, and they said I should call and request to be removed from their list. But I noticed a £4.00 fee from something named Switchfire on my bill, so watch out for that.

I just got this number calling me and somehow a download started without me wanting it. Tried to cancel it but was already too late. I'm gonna reach out to my phone company to see if they can sort it out. Sending STOP texts isn’t doing anything. Honestly, this needs to be dealt with properly, it's ridiculous.

Unfortunatly, I had a very similar experience recently. While using my phone, an adult site suddenly popped up without warning. When I tried to close it, a message appeared saying my download was ready, even though I hadn't ordered anything or wanted any downloads. Then, out of nowhere, I got a text saying I'd been charged £4.00 for a video from FunPass, with payment billed through Payforit. I reached out to FunPass via GameHouse support, but they denied any connection and told me to get in touch with the payment provider. When I tried to contact Payforit, their site just redirected me back to my mobile carrier’s website. Has anyone else had this happen? Feels like I've been ripped off. Just a warning to everyone out there.

They send you videos out of nowhere, ones you never asked for, and the moment you click on them, you get a message asking you to cough up £4. Quite a cheeky scam if you ask me...
