Got calls from both a man and a woman, saying they’re from HMRC and that there’s an arrest warrant out for me. Both spoke with proper English accents, quite posh actually. Absolutely a scammer, I’ve got calls like this previously from a rude Asian bloke who then passes you on to another Asian bloke claiming if you send £2,000 or some other sum over the phone, they’ll sort out a warrant for you. Watch out because they seem to have loads of private info, probably nicked from folks in government jobs. These thieves are proper dodgy and I’ve reported them to the fraud unit. HMRC never ring up and say there’s a warrant out. Just don’t answer or hang up on these muppets.
