Pretty much what everyone else said, they claimed there was a lawsuit waiting and told me to press a button.

Yeah, same deal as all those HMRC scam calls. Wasn’t gonna risk it, thought hitting ‘1’ could end up on some expensive line, so I just gave it a miss. Honestly, best to just leave it be.

Got an automated message like everyone else, saying there’s a legal claim against me and to hit 1 for more info. Of course, I didn’t press anything.

Got a robocall saying something about a revenue lawsuit, told me to press 1 for options, then just cut me off. Pretty dodgy.

Twice now I’ve come back to this voicemail about some HMRC lawsuit. The first time I didn’t block the number, but now I have. When it rings, it shows up as a North American number, maybe Canada? I get loads of scam emails from there anyway. If you fancy a bit of amusement, you get prompted to leave a message after the beep - what you say next is your call. Gave me a chuckle, so that was good.

Like many here, I got a call from some supposedly HMRC folks about a lawsuit. Surely it shouldn't be that tough to find out who owns this number? Seems pretty shady if you ask me.

Got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC threatening legal action. Just a heads up: (1) if you do owe anything, HMRC will always send you proper letters first and follow up if you don’t respond, never just random calls. (2) If they do ring, it’ll be a real person, not a recording, who will clearly say who they are and mention any previous letters. This is definitely a scam, so don’t fall for it. Same annoying nonsense as those constant calls about some problem with my PC. Ignore it!
