Got a call from this number yesterday morning and then again today. They said they were from HMRC and threatened me with a lawsuit, telling me to press 1 to make a payment. Definitely a scam, just ignore and hang up!

Got a call from this number twice in the last couple of days - once in the morning yesterday and again today. They said they were from the HMRC and threatened legal action, telling me to press 1 to pay up. Total scam, just ignore and hang up straight away!

Oh no, the same annoying IR Tart popped up again. I was pretty sure I’d blocked them! With better voice recognition these days, it must be doable to catch these callers more easily. I reckon if we kept their messages saved for like ten years, we could eventually use newer tech to track them down and maybe start nabbing them one by one, putting them behind bars. Would be great to see some proper action finally taken.

HMRC calls? Yeah, as if. Just block em, ignore the lot, and hope these 'people' catch what they deserve when it’s all said and done.

I've received two missed calls from this number, both leaving messages claiming that “the HMRC has initiated legal proceedings against you,” followed by instructions to press 1 for further information. I immediately suspected it was a scam, so I didn’t engage. It’s quite worrying and I really pity anyone who might be frightened and tricked by this ruse. Just a heads up to everyone-stay vigilant!

I got two calls from this number saying HMRC was trying to reach me about some sort of suit. Bit fishy if you ask me.

This is totally a con, aimed at older folks and those who might not be able to protect themselves.

Got a voicemail warning about a lawsuit and telling me to press 1 to speak with the case department. Honestly, it's really alarming and could easily frighten someone who's vulnerable.

I received a dodgy call claiming to be from HMRC. Believe me, they don’t operate this way. Whatever you do, don’t press 1! These individuals are nothing but idle con artists.

In the past 48 hours, I've encountered this number along with two others. One of them had an international code, no less. These callers are truly alarming elderly folks and it's high time something was done to put an end to this nonsense.

Got a voicemail from some muppet today, left that nonsense on my phone. Yeah right, they’ll be hearing from the cops pretty soon.

Got a voicemail saying HMRC is suing me, which is total nonsense. I've blocked the number straight away from my phone.

Got a call from a woman who said there was a legal case filed against me. When I asked for her name and the company she was calling from, it wasn’t clear at all. Seemed fishy to me, probably just a scam, so I ended the call.

Got a call claiming it was from the tax office, but it’s definitely a scam - best to just ignore and not ring back.

I got a missed call, then a voicemail from a woman talking in broken English claiming she was with HMRC and warned me about some legal action against me. It really worries me how older folks or vulnerable people can fall for these scams. When are authorities going to put an end to this nonsense?

Received a rather alarming automated call claiming to be from HMRC, stating that I was facing a lawsuit and an arrest warrant was out for me. I'm fully aware this is just a scam, especially since I had a similar call just a few days prior. I took the precaution of contacting HMRC myself, and they confirmed they never reach out like that. Officially, they’d drop a letter through your door first and might then arrange a visit if needed to discuss any concerns.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, automatic message at first, then when I pressed 1, a guy with an accent that sounded Indian started asking for my name and birthday. He said I owed money to HMRC. I told him that’s not true and that I have an accountant who handles all my taxes. Then he asked some really weird question about sleeping in the same bed as him! Told him right away he’s a scammer. Really awful situation!

Got a call claiming to be from the Inland Revenue. When I picked up, a robotic voice said they were suing me and to press 1 to chat with someone and sort payment. Since when does the Inland Revenue handle stuff by phone like that? Feels off to me, definitely dodgy.

I received a rather dubious automated call claiming that HMRC had initiated legal proceedings against me and urging me to press 1 to connect with my supposed caseworker. Naturally, I ended the call immediately. It's quite apparent this is a scam, as I’m well aware HMRC would never communicate in such a manner. Although I’ve blocked the number, I'm certain I’ll be targeted again from a variation of that same number. These scammers are utterly despicable, exploiting those who are more vulnerable. Fortunately, I’m able to see through their deceit, yet it remains highly unsettling and quite revolting to be subjected to such harassment.

I received an automated phone call claiming to be from HMRC, mentioning something about legal action. I can only imagine how terrifying this must be for many unsuspecting folk receiving such a message!

Earlier today, I got a rather alarming phone call claiming that HMRC was filing a lawsuit against me. They urged me to press '1' for further information. It struck me as rather odd to receive a call at a quarter to five on a Saturday afternoon. The caller had my postcode but kept insisting on my date of birth, which I flatly refused to provide before hanging up. Just a heads up for everyone-stay vigilant!

My 85-year-old mother just got a rather alarming call claiming there’s a lawsuit against her. They prompted her to press 1 for more info, and now she’s consumed with worry over it. It’s absolutely infuriating that these scammers are allowed to terrify vulnerable individuals without any recourse. Is there really nothing that the authorities can do to put a stop to this nonsense?
