Got a call at half past six in the morning and didn’t pick up because I’d got one about the same time not long ago from another number. I looked up this one here and it seems like a scam, so I’m just going to block it now.

Got a call from 02081065323, this robotic voice saying his name was Dave. He reckoned he didn’t know me but was carrying out some kind of study on finances after Covid and how folks are having a hard time getting loans. Seemed like a total scam to me, so I hung up before he finished talking. Blocked the number straight away!

Got a call from an unknown number but just ignored it. Didn’t bother picking up.

This number rang me and a person with an accent asked to talk to whoever owns the phone. I asked why, and then out of nowhere they started asking if I was still a virgin! That was totally inappropriate and rude, definitely not something anyone should be asked.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming she represents Her Majesty and demanding I pay some outstanding tax. Turns out, this is a classic HMRC scam going around. These scammers try to frighten you into thinking you owe the government money and threaten to send the police to your home within an hour if you don’t settle up immediately on the phone. Honestly, it’s pretty terrifying if you’ve never heard of these types of scams before!

Had a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, telling me I was going to get arrested for tax fraud. They said if I paid up straight away on the phone, the arrest would be cancelled. Honestly, it’s a complete con! Make sure you report it so others don't fall for it!

Got a voicemail from an automated guy saying if I don’t press 1, I’d get arrested. The voice was male and sounded computer-generated. Kinda freaky coz it sounded almost like it was from HMRC. I reckon some folks might get really worried about it.

Got a call pretending to be from HMRC, saying I was in trouble. I told them to jog on and reported the number to the HMRC scam team, then binned the number with a block. Fingers crossed the block actually holds. It’s mad that phone companies let these muppets keep ringing people up like it’s all legit.

So I got a call yesterday from some automated woman saying “Her Majesty’s HMRC is suing you.” Because it mentioned Her Majesty, I just hung up straight away. They called again twice yesterday, both times it was a female voice on the line. Today they called back with the exact same message but this time it was a bloke talking! Weird how they keep changing it up.

This number has been ringing me loads over the past week. I usually don’t pick up, but they always leave a voice message that I just get rid of. I even tried blocking the number but it still keeps coming through. I worry that someone more vulnerable might get caught up in whatever they're doing. Honestly, it’s shocking that no-one’s tracked them down or stopped it by now.

This is already the fifth time they’ve called me now, and they just won’t quit after two whole days of ringing me up.

They’ve called me twice today already, just like what happened last week. Really annoying how keen they are to get you to hit 1.

Got a call saying I had to press 1 to avoid some arrest warrant thing. I just laughed, was getting dry after walking back in the rain! Honestly, it could scare folks who are already struggling with money, so it’s good to be cautious. I’m glad I found this site - it’s my go-to for checking numbers, and I nearly always let things go to voicemail first. Cheers for having this!

Got a voicemail saying there was a lawsuit from HMRC and to press 1. I pressed it and someone actually picked up, asked how they could help. When I questioned why they kept calling me, the guy got really rude and just ended the call.

I’ve had three calls now, well actually three messages waiting for me when I get back. It’s some robotic bloke saying they’re gonna arrest me and to press 1. The most recent one claimed there was a warrant out for me and I should press 1 immediately. Of course, I didn’t press anything! I reported the number to HMRC by texting them months ago, back in August, yet these annoying lot keep ringing up. They’re downright dangerous, in my opinion. If more of us messaged HMRC, maybe these idiots would finally get caught.

This guy called me for the 4th time now, same bloke again. Saying there's a warrant out for my arrest or something. They must be getting to some folks if they keep at it like this, else why waste their time?

This number rang me twice today. The first time, it was some recorded woman warning me about supposed action from HMRC and telling me to press 1 to talk to an officer. Then, just a few hours later, I got another call from the same number but this time it was an automated English man’s voice claiming all my bank accounts were frozen due to “suspicious activity” and urging me to call back immediately. Total scam, stay clear!
