Ecosave is seriously dodgy! They pretend to be your actual agent and promise you super cheap rates, but newsflash - those prices end up being way higher. Loads of complaints all over the web back this up. Honestly, the ombudsman really needs to step in and stop these scammers from ripping people off!

Had a run-in with Morgan from eco save lately. He’s been ringing me nonstop for weeks, trying to get me to sign some docusign paperwork. He claimed to be calling for my energy company, E.ON, but after I checked with them, they said they had nothing to do with him. I wasn’t about to just take it, so I fired off plenty of questions and gave him a hard time. In the end, he just hung up on me! I had a bit of a laugh though, making sure he didn’t get an easy ride. Fingers crossed that’s the last time I hear from those lot.

They go by the name Ecosave, and although they do mention removing you from their "renewal list", what they're really doing is tracking when your contract finishes so they can pester you about a new deal. If you want to throw them off, say you've got over five meters to manage - it really gets them hyped up! But when they can’t track them down, it leaves them baffled and annoyed, and eventually they just stop ringing as your details won’t check out.

These guys from Eco Save just won't give up. They've called me three times now, using the exact same spiel everyone else here has mentioned. Done with it, blocked their number for good!

They rang me up again saying they were from British Gas, about renewing my contract. When I questioned them, they kept saying the same thing, even after I told them BG never uses outside companies like that. I told them to take my info off their list, and warned that I’d report them to BT as an unsolicited caller - which might get them into trouble with fines.

Got a call from someone saying they were with ScottishPower. They wanted me to give out stuff like my meter number and info from my recent bill, saying it was to “remove me from their records.” I reckon the real aim was to sneakily change my energy provider and make a quick buck off the deal without me actually agreeing.

Got a call from someone claiming to be acting for British Gas. I told them straight that British Gas never uses outside companies like this, cos we've had a couple of dodgy calls before. They kept insisting they were involved with British Gas for contract renewals or something. Just a heads up to be careful if anyone says they're authorised by British Gas - sounds like it might not be true!

They called saying they were from E-On Electric but it was actually Eco-Save on the other end. Don't trust them at all, it's a total scam! Better to just hang up and not get involved with these lot!

Complete charlatans! They claim to represent E.ON, but the truth is they’re actually Eco-Save trying to pull the wool over my eyes. They had me really believing they were legitimate. It’s quite alarming! Engaging with these clowns could lead to significant expenses and a world of trouble. Best to steer clear of these individuals altogether!

Got a call from Eco Save claiming they were ringing for SSE about my renewal docs. Thing is, my plan isn’t up for renewal anytime soon. Caller didn’t even know who the bill was in the name of, which is weird if they're really with SSE since they should have my details. They kept pushing, saying if I agreed to a new deal now they’d stop the renewal reminder calls. Why on earth would I renew something that doesn’t end for another 6 months? Ended up blocking them.

Got a call from someone claiming my energy provider was SSE and that they needed to verify my account details. I told them I wasn’t with SSE and they kept pushing for my account numbers, pretending to check against their records. Definitely a scam, so I didn’t share a thing with them.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with data protection, said they could help block unwanted calls. Then at the end, they admitted they were from Ecosave. Hung up straight away on these lot, what a waste of time!

Got a call from Eco Save who said they were ringing for our gas and electric company, SSE. I told them to ring back another time. Later, I called SSE myself and they said Eco Save are just middlemen and not linked to them, plus they hadn’t shared any details with Eco Save. When Eco Save called again, I asked them how exactly they worked with SSE. They claimed they got info about contracts ending so they could check details and offer better deals. I wasn’t having any of it and told them to jog on. Such rubbish.

This was the third time in a few days that they rang asking about when our electricity contract finishes. When we said we weren’t willing to share that info, they started getting pushy and kept saying we’d keep getting calls unless we gave them the details so they could stop calling. Our electricity provider has confirmed we don’t have to hand over any personal info!!!

Got a call from Ecosave again, maybe the third or fourth time now. The person seemed to already know who supplies our electricity. He asked about the date of our last bill. When I questioned the reason, he mentioned it was to look over our contract and see if we’re on the best deal available. Said this would also help reduce annoying calls!

Got a call from Ecosave claiming to be British Gas, asking if I'd received my renewal paperwork. I'm actually with a completely different supplier. I told the caller I wasn’t sharing any details and wasn’t interested in switching. Then she went on with that usual line about how they’d keep ringing until they got the info they wanted. That’s when I put the phone down. I’ve probably had close to 20 of these calls in just the last few weeks - it’s such a pain!

Had a bunch of calls from these so-called energy brokers like Eco Save or Energy Save - honestly, just another cold caller! They rang me FOUR times in a single day! Absolutely pointless because a) my energy contract isn’t even up for renewal yet, and b) I already picked my own supplier. How on earth did they get my info?! Proper annoying!

a bloke named morgan rang me and claimed they’re not scammers and just checking if im on the correct tariff. i wasnt convinced though, cos just a few days ago the same number offered me a tariff with wayyyy lower pence per kw but with a huge hike in standing charge compared to what i’m currently paying. honestly, they’re just after your money. people should report them to the TPS. they’re proper pest callers and need to be banned.

Had a call from a young lass, sounded proper chavvy and definitely no idea about phone sales, the way she spoke was obvious. She asked about some documents I supposedly should’ve got, like it’s a usual line they use on loads of folks. Definitely a sales pitch just fishing for info. If you’ve got older family members, be careful and tell them not to hand over any personal details to these scammers.

Someone called saying they were from my energy company and wanted to check if I'd received the renewal papers. I rang up my actual electricity provider afterwards and they said there’s no connection to that caller at all. Sounds like a classic phishing attempt to me.

They've got the audacity to call themselves Eco Serve! Last week, they bombarded my business with daily calls. I asked them to cut it out, but today they rang me again. I informed the lady that we're on the Telephone Preference Service list and that they shouldn’t be contacting us. Her response? Apparently, they don't consider themselves telemarketers, so the rules don’t apply to them. Despite being asked to stop, they continue with these unsolicited calls. Unbelievable!
