This number keeps ringing me at all sorts of times and it's really annoying. My missus has picked up a few times since I didn’t recognise it and when she asked what the call was about, they got quite rude, just saying it was a personal issue and they needed to speak to me. They say they're from some company called P.R.A or maybe P.R.U, but I’ve never come across either before. I’m disabled after a work accident, so them pestering me and speaking to my wife like that isn’t on at all. Next time they ring, I’m planning to give them a taste of their own medicine and be just as blunt. If it's personal, they should already have my details, so why bother asking? Also, I have no idea how to block this number on my Sony Xperia. If anyone knows how to do it, I'd appreciate a hand. Cheers.

I get calls from this number pretty much every few days, sometimes even 4 times in one day. They always leave a message asking me to ring back but I never do. It’s quite unsettling, especially since I’m 70 years old.

hey, so they have your personal info like name, address and dob because they check who the phone was registered to and where. for me, it was some firm from up north going after old barclays debts from the 90s. DONT FREAK OUT if they ring you, just ask them to send the contract between you and them so you can pay off everything today. but here’s the catch - they have no contract, you never dealt with them. legally, they can’t demand money from you. this is the law and it works. you don’t owe any third party cash, no matter how big or small. ade corby

Got a few calls from them, first from a woman then a bloke. They wanted me to verify some info, but once I said no, the woman got a bit snappy and threatened to post me a letter, which never arrived. Later the man asked if I wanted to take my info off their list, so it can’t have been anything too serious.

These bloody calls keep buzzing me 5 times daily. They must be getting my digits from those damn contest forms or the surveys that ask for your phone for points or cash rewards. I never put my number on surveys nowadays - if it’s a must, I just don’t bother entering. Took me ages to figure out it’s the reason for the constant harassing calls! Honestly, stop entering those comps or surveys that need your phone number; they rake in money by handing over your info to telemarketers. They keep ringing my number loads, from early morning till quite late, claiming it’s a personal call for my husband! Every time I ask what it’s about, they just say it’s personal. I told them not to call again if it’s a sales thing, yet they promise to take me off the list but still call at least 5 times a day!
