Got a really rude bloke on the phone the other day, said he was ringing from some insurance firm. His excuse was that our washing machine’s warranty had expired. Thing is, that washer is well over 20 years old! Sounds like a total con to me, they try to sound convincing but it’s just dodgy.

When I asked them to send details in writing, they claimed they’d do it by the end of the week but said they had to open a file first. Seems like they didn’t have any info on our supposed old policy. I just ended the call. Could be a scam or just a pushy sales tactic for appliance coverage.
