So, I got a call from this woman speaking with an Indian accent saying she was from 'CMA' about a recent car crash I supposedly had. I said, "Oh yeah, that one! What’s the story?" and then the line just went dead on me! It's not the first dodgy call I've had either - whenever I check where they're coming from, it’s often numbers linked to India. I know plenty of legit companies like Dell and Virgin Mobile use call centres in India, but I reckon my number’s been leaked somehow without those companies knowing. Now, I’m being flooded with scam calls from sketchy call centres out there!

Some bloke rang me saying it was about a car crash I supposedly had in the last two years - which is rubbish cos I haven’t had any accidents in that time. When I asked for the precise date of this so-called crash, he said he couldn’t give it to me because of “security reasons.” Then I tried to get details about the car’s make, model and reg number for the same “security reasons,” and he just called me a rude name and slams the phone down. Have blocked the number now.

I picked up the phone even tho I didn’t recognise the number. The lady on the other end sounded like she had an Indian accent and there was loads of noise like she was in some call centre. As soon as she started talking, I replied back in German, my mum’s tongue. That seemed to catch her off guard cause she asked what language it was. I kept answering her in German and after a bit she just hung up :) Think I need to come up with some new tricks for these kinds of calls!

Just after 5pm, I picked up a call on my mobile. A man asked if I was Mr W####, which I said yes to, then I asked who he was. Instead of answering, he said he was well and asked how I was. When I asked again who he was, he cut the line. Funny enough, I got a missed call round the same time yesterday from 02033320857 - the number was nearly the same, just one digit different.

I got a call from this number, and some bloke said he was with gma or something that sounded like it. He claimed it was about a car crash I was supposed to be in, which is utter bollocks since I don't even have a car right now. Complete load of rubbish!

So I got a call from some sort of insurance firm saying I’d been in a car accident, which is true. But then the bloke asked me about making a claim for damages and possibly going to court. I was like, "Hang on, the crash was just a fender-bender in a car park, so who’s even asking for personal injury?" As I was telling him it sounded like a scam, he insisted it wasn’t and we ended up having a bit of a row. I raised my voice and he just cut me off. These calls keep coming non-stop, they’re really getting on my nerves.

I got a call from someone claiming to be legal reps about a scratch on my car, which is totally untrue since my car hasn’t got a mark on it. They did say they’d remove me from their call list though. Honestly, they were nicer than most of these annoying telemarketers. I’m so fed up with these scam calls, seems like they’re just part of daily life now. Seriously, the government needs to step in and tackle this problem.

Got a call from Motor Assist's legal team about some tiny thing from a couple years back? I haven’t had any accidents in like 20 years! Then they claimed it was another person on my policy. Definitely felt like a phishing attempt. Best advice? Just put the phone down and don’t engage.

Got a call from someone pretending to be about a car accident that wasn’t even mine, years ago. They started off all polite like “Hello Sir/Madam, I understand you were in a crash that wasn’t your fault back then.” Didn’t bother listening, just ended the call and blocked the number. Total insurance scam!
