This number is definitely dodgy. I picked up the phone but no one said anything. I stayed on the line for about 10 seconds, kept saying ‘hello’ a few times, but no reply, so I just ended the call. These scammers are such a pain. I blocked the number straight away. Would be good if others could report it too. We need to make sure these scammers don’t get away with it.

I’m getting loads of dodgy calls these days so I just ignore any calls from numbers I don’t know. I always look them up here first and it’s almost always some sort of scam, like this one. I reckon if you pick up, you’re telling them your number’s active and you’ll end up on even more spam lists. Also, don’t call back without checking the number on here first. If it was important, they’d leave a voicemail. We need to stop giving these scammers any reason to keep hassling us.

I just picked up a call from this number, the bloke spoke with a strong South Asian accent and said he was from EE trying to sell me an iPhone or something. When I asked how he got my number, he kept saying he's from EE but wouldn’t give a proper answer. Once I repeated asking where he got my details from, he just hung up. Definitely spam.

A person with an overseas accent told me the number wasn’t active and asked me to double check and call again. Definitely a scam! I’m in my seventies and, thankfully, still sharp enough to spot these things. I get loads of these pesky scam calls and emails, but I worry for older folks who might fall for them. So, I’ll keep doing as suggested and keep reporting these dodgy calls.
