I received a call from someone who claimed to be a technician from an Asian company, stating there was an issue with my computer. He insisted that I switch it on, but as I did, I noticed an odd smell. When I mentioned this, he seemed surprised and I bluntly told him he was talking nonsense. I even asked if he could detect the unpleasant odour too, but then he abruptly hung up on me! Honestly, I was rather amused by the entire exchange.

some bloke with an indian accent called me about world wide servers and computer issues. i mentioned i hadn’t heard of any problems with macs, and he said they cover those as well. i told him flat out his call was dodgy and then he just cut me off.

Got a call from an unknown number just as I was about to pick up, but before I could even say hello, another voice came on and told me it was a scam. Definitely a dodgy call.

I received a call from these individuals, and like others have mentioned, they attempted to pry into my passwords and confidential details. I informed them that I perceived it as a fraudulent attempt and that I intended to alert the authorities about their actions, firmly requesting that they not bother me again. Unsurprisingly, they ended the call right then and there.

Got a call from some place called "world web server" saying they found an issue with my PC - total scam!

I had a rather perplexing exchange with a lady who was purporting to assist me. She mentioned that I seemed to be experiencing issues with my computer constantly powering on and off, coupled with an abundance of arrows appearing on the screen. I responded rather bluntly, indicating that I found it quite absurd to be in such a predicament. I made it clear that my device doesn't run on Windows-in fact, it's a tablet. Yet, she insisted that I must have a computer and proceeded to share that she too was grappling with difficulties. I suggested she head back to the same place I had been; a rather fitting description would be, well, the loo!

Received a rather peculiar call today from a chap with an unmistakable Indian accent, claiming that my computer was apparently spitting out error messages and requesting that I power it up. When I inquired as to which computer he was referring, he replied rather vaguely that it could be any one of them, clearly not grasping the logic that if he was indeed receiving messages, he’d know exactly where they were coming from. Just for the record, my MacBook was already up and running, and my Dell hasn't seen the light of day in years, although I kept that bit to myself. He was rather persistent about me turning one on. He’s promised to ring me back later, so I think I’ll have a bit of fun with him and throw him off even more, just to protect others from his dubious calls.

02033242535, yet another dodgy computer maintenance call, what a laugh! An Indian-accented bloke wanted me to switch my computer on for some so-called repairs. Yeah, not a chance! I kept him hanging for four minutes, treating him to some lovely hold music, and even looped the Windows startup chime six times for good measure. When he asked for my details to log in, I cheekily remarked that he should already have them since he claimed there was an issue with my computer. Absolute charlatans!

Just had a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from 'Microsoft' - apparently there's an issue with my computer. What a load of nonsense! It’s nothing but utter rubbish, if you ask me.

Just had another right laugh for nearly half an hour! This bloke with an Indian accent was prattling on about getting me to switch on my computer so they could 'resolve' an issue. Yeah, as if! I put him on hold for a good four minutes with some catchy tunes blaring in the background. Decided to mix it up a bit and replayed the Windows start-up sound at least six times. When he finally got round to asking for the details to log in, I cheekily told him that he should have them already, considering they claimed there was a problem with my machine. Utterly shameless!

I was incessantly informed that my computer had issues and that I should power it up and adhere to the chap's directions, but he seemed perplexed that I would dare to challenge him. Strangely enough, he claimed the call was originating from something called the "Worldbap server," which he described as a worldwide internet entity supposedly collaborating with every internet provider out there.

I had a rather persistent call from an Asian woman who claimed it was an urgent matter regarding my computer. She went on about how my device was allegedly spewing out dodgy emails. After chatting for about 12 minutes, she abruptly mentioned that she'd ring back later, especially since I pointed out she was interrupting my lunch. Naturally, I've taken the liberty of blocking that number now!

I encountered an Asian gentleman who seemed quite puzzled and couldn’t quite grasp the conversation. The only thing he managed to catch was that there might be an issue with the computer - the suggestion being to simply switch it on.
