I received a call from a chap named Alan, who had an accent that suggested he wasn't from around these parts. He seemed to be reading from a prepared statement, claiming that my computer was throwing up errors related to their server. He mentioned something about "BT Internet" and sounded like he was representing some sort of Microsoft technical support or perhaps even Windows tech assistance. It had all the hallmarks of a typical scam.

I had a rather bizarre encounter with someone claiming to be Indian who insisted that there was an issue with my computer. I’d just done a scan, and everything seemed tickety-boo on my end. To be honest, I couldn’t quite grasp what he was on about, so I decided to hang up. Does anyone know who this chap might be?
