+44 20 3322 4899 called me the other day, saying his name was Michael or Lee Chang Min. Something about him didn’t sit right, so I decided to search his number on Google. Turns out, loads of people have left bad reviews about him. I also tried hunting down his social media profiles but came up empty. Honestly, I’d warn any ladies to stay cautious around this one.

I reported a call I got from ‘HMRC’ with the number 02033227944. Honestly, these scammers aren’t smart at all, they didn’t even bother to hide their number!

This wasn’t a scam or anything dodgy. We got more tax credits than we should have because our kids are now past the age limit for claiming. We knew there was an overpayment from last year and expected to get some info on how to pay it back after they finished this year’s review. What a horrible scam, probably raking in loads of cash off people who are easy to trick. I saw a comment from a few hours back about putting a stop to these tricks. I've just reported it and now waiting to see if anything changes. Anyone receiving scam calls ought to report them at '[#]actionfraud.policeuk/report-phishing'. This helps the police keep track of how widespread these scams are and take the right steps. (Also be sure to report here as well.) If you want to make a real difference against these fraudsters, consider emailing your MP with every scam call you get and ask what’s being done to prevent foreign scammers from using UK landlines to make untraceable calls targeting vulnerable people. I also asked why there aren’t more public warnings about this, and like me, you’ll probably get a reply.

We've got this exact message from loads of different phone numbers, one popped up earlier from 01702 044009, saying we didn’t pay our tax and there's a warrant for our arrest. I've put that number on here too because it’s a serious scam. Most folks might spot straight away it’s dodgy, but some more vulnerable people could get really frightened and might end up paying.

The bloke called himself Ralph, but before he could say anything else, I told him HMRC's closed because it's a Bank Holiday. Just wanted to share this: on the morning of 26th August 2019, around 11:19am, my mum got a really scary automated call. The message said HMRC had issued a warrant for her arrest and told her to “Press 1 to talk to your warrant officer.” She got suspicious, so she dialled 1471 to check the number, which was 020 332 248 99 (see below). Luckily, she rang me straight away because she was pretty upset. This kind of call could easily freak out anyone worried about money stuff.
