I received a peculiar call from someone claiming to be based in London, and they seemed to know our name! They mentioned a conversation about investments from a few days prior, just ahead of Christmas. I had to remind them that Christmas was quite some time back, not just a few weeks ago! We made it clear to this American fellow on the line that we hadn’t had any previous discussions with them. I cheekily asked, “Are you trying to pitch something to us, mate?” and right then, they abruptly hung up!
