We've had a rather intrusive character, calling himself Edward Williams, reach out to us not once but twice today. He insists that there’s a cheque waiting for us and claims that we need to buy a gift card worth £99 from a prominent retailer. Apparently, after that, they promise to drop by and hand over the cheque in person. What’s particularly concerning is that they already possess our name, address, date of birth, and both our landline and mobile numbers. Just a heads up to everyone to steer clear of this bloke!

This morning, I received a call from someone named Edward Williams, who went on about outstanding tax and utility payments. He even mentioned the bank where my account is located. According to him, these individuals plan to call back in three hours. Honestly, it all seems a bit dodgy to me - it has the distinct whiff of a scam.
