Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was calling from Tesco Mobile. I told him I don’t use Tesco Mobile, and he just said “Yeah, I’m aware of that” before cutting the call.

So, I answered a call from 02033180022 and there was this awkward pause, like the person was maybe checking if anyone answered the line out of a batch of numbers. Then a lady with a strong Indian accent said she was calling from O2, which is supposed to be my network. Thing is, she couldn’t tell me my name or even who I actually use for my phone plan. Even though my number used to be O2 ages ago, I switched providers over twenty years back! Looks like they’re just fishing through a list of numbers starting with 07802 that once belonged to O2.

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE saying I needed to swap my SIM card otherwise I'd lose phone service. I told them I wasn't interested and they said it was mandatory, or my phone would stop working. I just ended the call! It's so nasty how these people target vulnerable folks and mess with their lives.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with a charity called “Helping Heros.” He had this thick Indian accent and sounded like he was struggling to get through a script he’d just been given. When I asked where he was calling from, he got all awkward and just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier and when I answered, there was complete silence before they just cut off. When I looked up the digits, the 318 bit seems to link to somewhere in Lewisham, Southeast London. My guess is this is dodgy, probably a scam or something risky. Would be careful if I were you.
