Some bloke rang me up saying he was carrying out a survey for Three mobile, then suddenly started offering me some 'special deal' on my contract. I played along with the survey to kill some time, then just cut off the call while mid-sentence like we lost connection or sumthin :)

Like quite a few others here, I got one of those automated scam calls on my phone saying something about me being in an accident that wasn’t my fault. The message was spaced out weirdly, like they want you to respond, thinking a person’s actually there. I kept quiet and the call just ended, so I guess they’re using some sort of voice detection or something.

This is definitely a scam. They have nothing to do with car accident claims at all. If you've signed up with the TPS, make sure you report her. Total rip-off, just stay well clear or you’ll end up out of pocket. Avoid at all costs!

Got a call from Rosie Hunter at Pronto Fast Services. It was clearly a robo call. If you say no, the call just ends, but if you say yes, they connect you to someone. Reported this to the Information Commissioner since it breaks digital marketing rules - the TPS doesn’t cover this, so reporting there would be pointless.

Here we go again with "Pronto fast services". Got one of those recorded messages from some 'Rose hunter' or whatever. I just said yes, mainly so I could give them a piece of my mind. They claimed to have info from the "road traffic and accident department", which sounds made up to me - if that even exists, there's no way they'd just hand over a phone number. Told them I’m on the TPS list, and well, they didn’t stick around much longer after that!

Totally confused! I told the person on the phone the company name and number, even said she was from London. Then she abruptly said she’d transfer me to her boss, and put me through to a guy with an Indian accent who started asking about a crash I wasn’t involved in. When I said I wanted to talk to the supervisor, he claimed he was that person - which I hadn’t even asked for. I then mentioned that the IP trace was done and thanked him, and suddenly he just cut me off! Seriously, dreadful experience. Some people are just hopeless.
