Got an email saying someone bought a phone on eBay using PayPal, so I rang the number they gave. The bloke on the phone claimed he owns PayPal. Total scam, don’t trust that email or number!

Just like the previous reports, I received a dodgy invoice claiming I'd forked out £500 on Apple gift cards. It instructed me to ring that number if I wanted to cancel. Absolute nonsense!

Just received a dodgy email that pretends to be a payment confirmation for a £500 gift card. It’s a complete hoax! I’ve flagged it as phishing, and I urge everyone else to do likewise. Make sure to report the email and the associated phone number. Stay vigilant and don’t interact with them!

Came across a dodgy SCAM email that claimed I'd forked out £500 for an Apple gift card. The email came from: Apple Customer Support [email protected]. Make sure to report and block it straight away!

I just got a strange message saying "Custom Amount £500.00 THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER OF APPLE GIFT CARD." It looked really odd because I didn't order anything like that. The message told me to ring +44 20 3290 8525 if I had questions about the order. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

I received a voicemail that falsely claimed to be from PayPal, trying to trick me with a payment confirmation for an item I didn’t buy at all! It was for a Samsung gadget priced at £599, which is complete nonsense! Seriously, steer clear of this number! Absolute con!

This week I got two dodgy emails, one pretending to be from SquareUp and the other from PayPal, both pushing the same fake story to ring a landline number. I tried to forward them to the supposed scam-reporting addresses, [email protected], but both bounced back with a system error. So just a heads up - don’t call that number if you see this scam come through!

I've gotten a couple of dodgy emails this week pretending to be from Paypal and squaredup.com, both asking me to ring a number as part of some scam. I tried to report them by forwarding to [email protected] and [email protected], but both bounced back with some sort of Email System Error. The bounced email had the subject "Fwd: Payment Confirmation from Paypal Business". If you get these messages, definitely don’t call the number!

I got an email from what said it’s PayPal or squareup.com with this number on it. First, they told me I supposedly bought a Samsung phone for £599, then today another email came saying £499 was going to be charged for an iPhone. I checked my PayPal account and there’s nothing about these payments at all. The email says to ring this number if I didn’t make the purchases, but I haven’t called them.
