I didn’t answer the call, then got a voicemail from a woman with an American accent saying I needed to call them back or I’d face legal trouble. I ignored it and decided to check online, and from what I’ve read here, I’m really relieved I didn’t call. This number seems dodgy. Best not to ring it back!

Got a voicemail with a really obvious American accent claiming to be from HMRC, saying I HAVE to ring back or there'll be serious trouble. Just a heads up, HMRC never contact you like that!

I got a call recently from this number, and they left a strange voicemail with some American accent. It's actually the second time they've rung me. When I decided to call back, a man with an Asian accent answered and said he was from the Inland Revenue. He asked for my phone number and then if I still lived at an old address. I told him I moved out ages ago. Then he wanted to know if I’d informed HMRC, and I said I have a proper job on a salary. After that, he just ended the call straight away! Feels like some sort of dodgy scam to me. Best to avoid it.

Got a call from some woman sounding super American with one of those robotic voices, saying she was from HMRC. She told me that either me or my lawyer needs to ring back, or else I'd be in big trouble legally. Proper scary stuff!
